Topic: Tap Tempo doesn't work!

Hi everyone!

I'm having problems with the Tap Tempo function of my G-Major 2!

I recently bought a momentary switch (Roland DP-2) for setting the delay tempo in my patches: I've followed all the instructions on some threads to set up that function.
I connected my pedal in the back of the unit, set up the Tap tempo on Global  and Mod menus.
Actually when I press the pedal the unit receives the signal and the two blinking leds that show the tempo in the Matrix view follow the tempo I set! ...everything perfect, but actually the tempo of the patch doesn't change!

I have found nothing 'bout this problem on the web! HELP ME!

(sorry for my poor english! I'm Italian!)
BYE!

No one can help me??

Re: Tap Tempo doesn't work!

Do you have a midi pedal connected also using midi clock?  What is MOD master set to?

Re: Tap Tempo doesn't work!

In Global menu, you must choose wich kind of pedal you're using in the GM2 beetween expression/vol, momentary, etc..

Re: Tap Tempo doesn't work!

Under the global menu you go to the Tap Master selection and choose preset or global, preset will save the the tempo for that patch only, global will do it to all your presets.

Re: Tap Tempo doesn't work!

@brent: I do not have a MIDI pedal, I just have a momentary pedal (Roland DP-2)! I can't remember how the MOD master is set to, 'cause my GM2 is in my reheasal room!

@ystejam: I set 'momentary' in the Global menu.

@blksolo: I'll try this solution.

But actually when I press the pedal, the display receives the tempo I set. Unfortunately the delay tempo doesn't seem to change... :-(

Hi Euge,

Please make sure a tempo value is set for the delay, so the unit knows how to quantise your
tapped  tempo values.

Re: Tap Tempo doesn't work!
