Re: Future development of the PowerCore platform has been ceased, 2

Seems that the support is slow, no word for 3 days.

After installing the Poco6000 on a Win XP machine the 6000 plugins appeared in demo and expired after 20hrs of use. Never experienced this situation on my macs.

Does anyone know a workaround for this?

Thanks.

Re: Future development of the PowerCore platform has been ceased, 2

That's odd to me. My past experience with the TC support was very good.

Re: Future development of the PowerCore platform has been ceased, 2

Actually DavidBahar you are incorrect in using the 3.2 driver which is VERY old. You need a more recent version of the Powercore Driver.  I have 2 computer systems.  One is a Mac G5 running Leopard and the other is a Intel 8 core tower running Snow Leopard.

On the G5 computer I am using the 4.0.4 Driver and it works fine with the powercore 6000.

On the Intel 8 core I am using the 4.3.1 Driver which work fine with the powercore 6000.

You can email me if you want me to sent you the 4.0.4 Driver installer and I have had very good experience with TC support.

Best

I am having the same experience. I have one support request that has not been answered in over a MONTH. A second one that has not been answered in 2 weeks. Both still show up as still active; ie Not Closed.

I am beginning to really wonder if TC has officially "silently" dropped all support for Powercore - Not Just on the software end.

I am pissed to put it politely!

Before asking the particular question you have answered all the questions. Thanks Thomas

Re: Future development of the PowerCore platform has been ceased, 2

I've been reporting all this spam (see last four posts at time of writing) and no-one from TC seems to care...

I don't think I'll bother any more.

We have now be taken care of the remaining spam. You can't imagine how much stupidity we have to depollute.

@ Hagen

I'm going to the beta forum link http://forum.tcelectronic.com/forum/15/ … -beta-test and it's saying "Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated".

Do I need to be accepted first or will I find out in my account somehow?

Haha!

Sorry about that I thought the accounts were linked.

I guess I will have to change email because this is receive only.

Cheers

are there any betas newer than 4.3.3 RCII? I'm having big problems with PoCo and Nuendo 5.5... would be great if I could have access to the beta forum if that's the case, at this point I'm willing to try anything...! thanks!

There's a memory leak or something (don't know for sure what I'd call it but that's what it feels like) with the Denoise plug-in. Left long enough it starts causing constant crashing once playback is engaged (in fact, you don't even have to hit an audio segment that it's working on, it seems to vary, sometimes I can get a minute or two of playing, sometimes twelve seconds). Resetting the PowerCore is not enough - to correct the problem you need to disengage the plug-in on all the channels it's active on, then re-engage, reset and it generally works OK - for a while - long enough to get a mixdown done anyway, but it's still very annoying. I assume that a box reset doesn't correct it because Denoise does have some host processing going on...

What is "constant crashing"?
Is this only happening with Denoiser? With what PowerCore version was it working before?

Re: Future development of the PowerCore platform has been ceased, 2

Constant crashing is not being able to playback for more than a short while before I get a beachball and I have to Force Quit. This will happen until I load up, deactivate Denoiser, then re-activate it and carry on. The problem will creep up again though slowly - usually a couple hours of work later it will rear its head and I won't be able to playback anymore.

To be honest I haven't used Denoiser in quite some time and never with Nuendo so I can't give you an idea of if and when it ever actually worked, but I'm 100% sure it's the culprit as the solution I described above works everytime.

No problems with other PowerCore plug-ins either (that I've tried), I'm using VSS3 and Sonnox Dynamics and Limiter all in the same session.

Thanks, we will try to reproduce this here - but haven't had any similar reports so far...

Thanks - it's definitely a consistent issue on this end - I emailed a crash log to pocobeta@tcelectronic.com yesterday with similar instructions on how to reproduce the problem, just in case anyone is watching that inbox.
