Topic: problems with mic-Setting

How do I get the effects (comp/eq) on the Mic Thru chanel?
When using with a PA it's bad to mix the two signals and using the mic thru output will skip the compressor and eq for the mic, wich I want to use.

Or is it possible, to send the vocal/mic-signal output to the left and the guitar-signal to the right?

Thanks for any hint!

Greetings from Berlin/Germany

No - the MIC thru is just that, a way for the dry signal coming into the G-Natural to be passed along unmolested to another piece of equipment. You need to use the main outputs if you want a wet signal.

Re: problems with mic-Setting

In my case it didn't work out. I'd tried a couple of things to do but still the problem with the mic is there. I'm wondering now if I will just hire a technician for it or I'll buy another.

WHAT problem? We can't help you if you don't describe the issue you are having.

Re: problems with mic-Setting

The big problem is, that the setting of the "mic thru"/wet signal doesn't make sense for the professional use on stage!

If I send the dry mic thru.-signal to the PA, I don't need the mic on the wet signal - because in that case the PA wil get the mic signal twice (mic thru plus wet). And in case of canceling it in the wet signal, so the mic thru and the wet git signal will be seperated for the PA - I don't need the G-Natural for the mic!

The only setting that would make sense, would be to have a wet stereo git signal and a at least minimal proceeded mic signal (EQ, comp)!
And what could be the problem of programming it that practically orientated way?

Best regards from Berlin

The the signal coming out of the mic thru jack is dry - and there is not way to program it to be wet. This is a hardware limitation, not a software limitation. The thru jack is NOT connected to the output of the DSPs.

Re: problems with mic-Setting

I know. That's what I wrote, describing why it is not well planed from tc electronic!

They should quickly rethink it and find a stage-suitable solution (the setting now isn't).
If I would have know it before, I wouldn't have bought it.

So find also an solution for already-owners.

A compromise could be a software solution: the possibility to split the signal in left wet git  / right wet mic (using the output-menu).
In that case, the user could program the sound e.g. without reverb (for Stereo-width) and send it separated to the PA.

Think about it.

Understood. But now you know that on almost all gear (not just TCs), "thru" means "unprocessed" - right? So you'll be able to make a more-informed choice.
