Topic: MAP expression pedal to volume?

Hello,

I finally got a pedal that will work with (calibrate) my Nova System.  When going to the pedal menu I see several parameters to control.  Delay depth, trem speed etc...  But no volume (complete system "volume pedal" as if I had a conventional volume pedal in line with guitar/amp.  I read through the pedal chapter several times, but can't find volume mentioned anywhere.  I'm sure I'm missing something obvious because this system would have to have volume if it has all that other stuff.  Thanks.

Re: MAP expression pedal to volume?

In the Pedal Menu, don't use "Expression" but "ExpGlbVol". You'll then map the Pedal to control the Global Volume with params Map Min, Mid and Max.

Nova makes a difference between Expression Pedal and Volume Pedal (and G-Switch of course). When you choose Expression, you control an effect parameter (MapParam) but not the volume. When you choose ExpGlbVol, you control the volume, but you lose the expression.

Re: MAP expression pedal to volume?

GlobalVolume will be set for all presets. You can't have a volume pedal on one preset and an expression pedal on another.

One way to get a volume pedal and expression pedal is to put one volume pedal in front of Drive Input and another pedal set as expression pedal. Yes? Requires two volume pedals (volume and expression) but lots of flexibility.

Re: MAP expression pedal to volume?

in the very first firmware of ns you could choose between exp and vol per preset.
please contact tc support and file it as a feature request to have that again, as myself and hopefully many others have already done
