Topic: Cleanup Windows PowerCore driver installation

Sometimes old drivers installations or settings get stuck on Windows preventing a new installation. Here is how you can clean these sort of things up.

Remove driver installations:
  1. uninstalling the whole PowerCore package

  2. Enable the view on hidden devices in the device manager: Go to System Properties->Advanced->Environment Variables and add devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

  3. Go to the device manager and enable View->Show hidden Devices

  4. Uninstall any PowerCore drivers hanging around by right click on PowerCore select uninstall, also check under 61883 device tree if there are PowerCore references here and uninstall them

  5. Select re-scan for Hardware changes in the menu. Windows might now find an even older driver. Right-click uninstall and rescan again until PowerCore becomes an unknown device.
