VOLUME SWELL in the filters section!!!

(akin to the boss slow gear, byoc lazy sprocket, guyatone sv2, line6 pod volume swell, line6 dl4 swell, and many others... it would be VERY usefull)

Unless I missed this, can we have this please please?  Must just be a few simple zeros and ones to implement!  Swells using the volume pedal a pain (cuts delays and verbs) and I'm no good using the volume pots on guitars.  An auto volume swell will allow me to have a foot on the monitor pretending to work magic.

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

The volume pedal doesn't cut your delays and reverbs if you set the volume position to input instead of output.

Give the option of Passive or buffered loops.
PLEASE!!! Solve the Buffered Loop issue, OD/Distortion pedals sound generic and sterile in the current system.

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

Once again....
Very simple but powerful change for the Wah.

PLEASE let us set a value range of the controller where the auto off is either active or inactive.

Problem: when using auto the wah shuts off if there is no activity. So there you set the wah to the sweet spot half closed and you solo on...and pooof the wah shuts off. Duh!

This must be absolutely the easiest thing to implement. PLEEEEEEASE!!!

Although I love my Bad Horsie I would switch to the G-wah just to get rid of cables on the floor as the G would be the ONLY thing on the floor...wiht the controller.

I simply do not understand why it is not working like this or why it is not a popular suggestion. Is it because nobody is using the wah in a live sit? I for one can not move my foot from the buttons to the controller or reverse fast enough without falling over.

PLEASE!!

Greg

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

You're best bet is to use a the 10 sec feature to keep the wah active for sweeping applications of the wah. For "sweet spot" applications use the Res Filter instead. But then you have to be on a different preset for that filter effect.

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

I'd really like having the possibility of go back to the previous preset when I press the knob for the 2nd time (so as do thé others multieffect units).
I use a switch so as a 'shortcut' to another preset because i like the idea of being able to select à specific preset whatever the bank selected. But when i do that, i can't go back easily to the previous bank i was just using.

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

If you have presets that you switch between often just put them next to one another.

Add one vote for volume control effects. Auto Vol swell, Vol modulation, etc

I asked for the same feature some pages before and I am currently doing as you suggest. However, in the heat of the moment it happens that I step on the wrong button and so 'return' to the wrong patch. If the suggested way of switching was just an option that could be enabled or disabled it would be a great help for the ones who like it like this or it would stay the same for those who don't. That's why I support Dadoune666's request.

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

Hi everybody..
I have two things that I'd like to see better implemented..
First:
Expression pedals should be able to be set up to modify tempo synced parameters like mod rate or delay time in musical values (as min:1/16 - max:1/4T, for example) given the tap tempo capabilities of the GSys.. If there's a way to accomplish that, I'm yet to find it..
(Second:
Speaking of NovaDrive integration, why can't I assign two switches to OD and DS on/off state? just like the two switches onboard.. Again, if I'm missing something any suggestion is more than welcome!)

Edit: Ok, I just found out that I can just send MIDI from the switches to accomplish #2, still, #1would be a grab way to control parameters like trem rate without losing tempo sync..

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

It's been mentioned before but I'd really like to see a fix for the WahWah when the Kill Dry is on so that you can set it to turn off after a designated time period instead of having to set the auto shut off to off and having to actually push the filter button before you start to use the expression pedal to Wah.

I have a G-system, and studying it, it's a little difficult,  learn more from here, very nice.

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

Hi Guys,

3 Requests, they have probably been mentioned, but the thread is looong, sorry if I repeat any:)

1) Powered MIDI. Why is it that a €1k+ piece of kit doesn't have powered midi sad Probably not do-able in a software update, but worth considering going forward.

2) Please increase the range and/or sensitivity of the tuner for 8-string guitar users/drop tuning users. With extended range guitars becoming more common, this is a good way to future proof your equipment TC. Basically the tuner drops of the face of the earth around low F# (the eighth string). I tune everything 1/2 step lower again so my 8th is F, and I have to switch to harmonic tuning on that string for live. It does the job but meh... be nice to open tune and certainly faster too tongue

3) Still miffed that there isn't a power socket for the nova-drive OR that the nova wont run of the 9v cables inputs on the G. A missed opportunity if ever there was one sad

Thanks TC!

A step sequencer that can be associated to the effects parameters would be great.

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

How about a G System universal floor expander.  The design matches the existing floor control unit and is 2 buttons wide and 4 buttons deep.  All buttons are able to control existing G parameters or send midi control messages on any midi channel.  They also act as encoders.  Connections underneath the unit would be dual Cat 5 connectors, one for input from the main brain and the second to jump to the main floor control.  Midi in/out/thru.  Also one or two expression control inputs that can control any midi device on any channel and possibly some loops for any floor you may have especially if the brain is in a rack.  Could also act independently as a pedalboard loop switcher and full featured midi controller.

Re: G-System Feature Ideas and Requests

+1 Foot control expander would be awesome! Throw in a few more loops while they are at it! That would be awesome...though if the G System is not a priority for TC it is hard to imagine that an expander on that system would be high on their priority list.
