TC Electronic Forum → G-Natural → How do you store your G-natural pedal when going to gigs? Case? Bag?
Hey guys,
I just bought a G-natural pedal, which I plan on using at my acoustic gigs. How do you guys protect the pedal when transporting it to and from gigs? Can you recommend a good, padded (foam) bag for it? Or are there any other suggestions? Does tcelectronic make a special bag/case for it? It sure is an expensive pedal, and I'd hate for it to be damaged.

I bought a used laptop case. So I'm always worried someone will steal my G thinking they're getting a Dell!!
The G is a pretty rugged device, I don't worry too much about it getting damaged.

I bought an old hard case suitcase at a 2nd hand store and wrap it in a BIG towel in my case with all my cords, tuner etc etc so nothing moves around. Works great so far

If someone comes up with a good answer I'd sure like to hear about it. I've had my G Natural for about 2 years now and it's pretty beat up; one of the handles on the back of the unit came loose about a year ago and I can hear a metal piece moving around inside the unit.
Don't get me wrong, I love the way the G Natural sounds, but it would have been nice if whoever designed the unit would have anticipated how it would be used and created some kind of case to carry it in, even if it was at an additional cost. FWIW, I am wrapping mine in a towel and carrying it in a tote bag to gigs. Seems kinda mickey mouse for a professional unit than costs $500.
Would love to hear from someone at T.C. Electronics about this!
One of my rear handles has been loose since I got the unit. It kept getting looser and I finally bought a set of torx bits, took the unit apart, and tightened the handle. I was just completely lucky that I was able to reach it, it was a giant pain in the butt and I was constantly worried about screwing something up, but eventually I got it fixed and put back together.
It's coming loose again.

I have just had a case made for my G Natural by Swan flight.com. I had it custom made to also house my tuner and line 6 wireless receiver. The quality is excellent and they provided a very good service.

we have a gig bag available for G-Natural/ Nova system and since the hardware platform is identical with the TC helicon Voice Live you can also use the Helicon one, if you don't mind the different labeling.

It's a little tight because of the U-bars at the back of the unit but it fits well and has a pocket for cables.
