Well I guess it depends on how much it will be to repair (I assume it's no longer under warranty). On the plus side, since it is an intermittent fault, it may be that if you only need the preamps occaisionally, then maybe it will do. Even in a critical scenario a switch off and onn again should at least get you through. Maybe you should swap it over for your daily use one and see if the problem occurs...
In my experience with the problem power-cycling the unit did not usually make any difference to the problem (sometimes leaving it off for a longer time worked, but not consistently), so I don't think a unit with this issue would be suitable for critical applications.
Because I'm upgrading to a Metric Halo ULN-8 I've decided to sell my Konnekt 48, so if anybody needs a unit which has had all the pots replaced with ALPS pots I've just put that on Ebay (UK). PM me for details (local pickup from London area UK though). Since the upgrade I've used the preamps quite a bit for recording and they've been rock solid. Hope that doesn't break that forum rules, just thought it might be of interest to some folks here!

Does anybody here have a unit that was fixed while out-of-warranty? If so, where can I send mine and how much will this cost me? I have the same issues and have just noticed after 2 years. Had been using input 2 all along and that's the only one that works!!!
Best interface ever - worst interface ever.
I really like this unit. So much so that I am willing to get it fixed. Which is something I never do. When something gives me this much grief, I sell or dispose of it and by from an other company. I sold my Apogee ensemble cause I preferred the konnek 48 but this is crazy. There are so many defective units that I think they should offer extended fix to all even after warranty is passed. Maybe there is grounds for class action lawsuit?
Come clean TC and do the right thing.
You should file a report on TC support center and they'll give a complete answer, but as far as I know the potmeter issue repair is free.
I have sent a request but I'm still waiting for an answer.
weeks passed and still no answer. Sent an other report today....
Now I have other issues with the Konnekt 48.... TC Near Panel has collapsed and there is no way to get it back. Some other user reported the same problem but him comes back after reboot...mine does not.
Love the interface, sound but this has to be the worst product I have purchased in my 25 year carreer.
@seventn: As mentioned in another thread...I can find no emails sent to support from your email address and we have NO unanswered incidents regarding the SK48 in our system.
Please provide your incident number.

I hope TC can weigh in on this: Does the faulty pots issue affect all Konnekt 48 units or only some and if only some, which ones - date range? serial range? country? Is there a way to know?
I need to know if my unit will fail me at a critical time.
