Topic: Not able to store user settings

I press store, push edit wheel,it starts blinking, dial to location, press edit wheel twice. It says preset stored.Trouble is every time I shut down G major and then start it again the preset delay settings are back to where they were before I changed them. It's version 1.27.Any idea what could be wrong?

Re: Not able to store user settings

Change the values to your desired settings, press store on the effects block, then press enter on the parameter dial.

Re: Not able to store user settings

this is just a guess... as I have never even looked at the factory banks...but I suspect it works this way...Make sure you are in the user banks... you can edit factory patches but when saving it will default to a user bank, however it is possible that when you cycle power you are starting back up in the factory banks... which cannot be saved...
or something like that...  wink good luck man...

Re: Not able to store user settings

Hi I'm a new member here and I hope you guys might be able to help me. My post is similar to Peavley's.  I can't seem get a newley edited program stored to become a user preset. Once I've changed my parameters it says user preset; but when I come back to that cc# the factory preset is still there.
I have to admit I am new to using MIDI but the manual just doesn't seem to explain it with even a simple example. I have the G-Major with the G-minor pedal. Even a one effect simple change would be greatly appreciated to get me started. I love the effects on my 100W Marshall JVM 210H  and going through the effects loop on that amp quieted down any noise comming from the amp. Peace and thanks ahead of time for any info. that anyone can give.

Re: Not able to store user settings

Not sure what is going on. I have never had this kind of thing happen...
But I notice you say you press the edit wheel to store? I have never done that. I press the store button once, turn the edit wheel to get to the prefered patch number then press the store button twice more.
Good luck!

Re: Not able to store user settings

Hi Cpt,

please check the "program bank" parameter in the Midi menu.  In case you have set it to "factory" - Prg change messages that your G-Major receives will be linked to your factory presets only.  See manual for more infos..

@peavley: As for the delaytimes of a saved presets loading with different setting, check the "Tap master" parameter in the GLobal menu.  The "Preset" setting will load Delaytimes as they are stored within the preset  With the Tap master setting on "Tap", the delaytimes will be quantised to the current global tempo.

Re: Not able to store user settings

i have a similar problem - i can use every effect except save settings for octive effect. i set it up save settings on a user preset, it sounds good, i save it and go to stanard spreset and then i go back and the octive efffect is back off . all other efffect changes in that preset are saved.
WTH?
