Re: TC RH450

Thanks JayGarrett..
I have the hole healed. Have had some good pathology reports back.
So  slowly continue to get better. Just like my playing...LOL

How is you gear doing?
Are you still smiling as I am..?

It is funny how a nice piece of gear like the RH450 puts the smile on..

As of late I have just for fun been trying the RH450 out with a different cab at home here
as I practice and learn new tunes.
I hooked it up to a old single 15 JBL cab I have had for years. Talk about sound If you get the opportunity
try the head with a 15" It will blow you away. The JBL 15 has not been on the road in years and is all beat up.
I like the sound the rh450 head and JBL cab make so much, I have actually been thinking about moving the old cab into
the room the band practices in here. There I can see what kind of reaction I get from the guys in the band.
I think it is the best COMBO I have heard to date. The only problem is that it would be very awkward to move compared to what I use now
defeating the whole purpose of small..
At 4 Cubic feet inside the cab for one speaker it is getting big.. But the sound is also bigger.
Will start using it for practices for now.

The latest with the band.... complaining it only takes me 5minutes to set up and test my Bass rig..LOL

Re: TC RH450

I Love the sound of 15's -- played many years with two JBL 15's in a variety of cabinets, and later EV 15's.  FYI --TC has just release the BG500 combo amps, available in 210 or 115 configurations. I gigged the 115 this weekend and the sound is huge from a relatively small amp.

Yes I am Aware that TC is or has come out with a single 15.
Since you have gigged it how was it to move around. in and out of gig.?

Re: TC RH450

Well I'm really liking the old JBL single 15 cab.

My next suggestion it to try the Rebel Head 450 with any cabinet you have or can get your hands on..
Your going to have to play with it a bit but I think you are going to be surprised at
the sounds you get. I sure have been.
I wish I could use all of the cabs I have at gigs.. LOL Just to much to carry.

Has been a real treat to hear, feel the difference's ..

Rebel Head is still pounding out the tones at gigs.. No Issues to date.

Re: TC RH450

Well here I am again..Sept 18 2011.
Just wanted to update this and let any one who has read all this that I am doing real well.
BUT so is the RH450. I have played a lot more gigs with this head and find it still as nice now as it was when I started this thread..
The amp just keeps on delivering. The only adjustment of late is the volume control. All dependent on what combination of cabs I decide to use at gigs. This head has to be one of the best I have had the pleasure to use.. Trouble free and clean only gets distorted if I drive it too hard and that is an easy fix.. LOL

The RS 2X10 is still working as well although it does not look any where near new.. That finish really does suck and the cab is looking pretty bad today.. But it works and lives in my gear trailer between gigs.
I really just wish TC had used a different finish..

SO BASSically speaking I'm pretty happy with the choice I made to buy a RH450 .
I hope every one that has read this got some questions answered and were inspired to give the TC RH450 an audition. For those who purchased one I hope you are still as happy with it as I am with mine. This thing has made me a lot of money..LOL

I guess now with all the technology proven with the RH 450 and the new CT bass amps coming out using it, that it should tell every one out there that there is really something awesome about this amp.
I hope you go out and try one.. I've never been disappointed with mine..

Re: TC RH450

Thanks for the reviews and updates BASSically. Glad to hear your staying healthy too! My wife had surgery for breast cancer 12 yrs ago and is still in good health - no remission. I wish you the same good fortune.
I'm curious to know what kind of music you're playing through the TC gear and what bass(es).
Keep the groove alive!

....confirmed Fender man....

Well I actually ordered one yesterday. The Rebel Head 450.
Delivery is expected Wed or Thurs. of this week.
It is not cheap here in Canada.
It will be interesting to see just how it holds up to the weekend warrior use it is about to be thrust into.

i just got mine.....blown away by its sound.....mark bass can do one !

Re: TC RH450

Well ive had the 450 rebelhead with 2x10s 2x12 set up 2 weeks now.Buying from brand new the descion of buying the covers was a deff a must !.....im not a fan of the cab finish, like others,i think it should of been carpet finish, but your gear must be protected or else youl just loose money if ever you sell on.
My main bass is a roscoe 3005 5 stringer and upon playing the b string it really deleivers a good tight sound.
Im gigging 2/3 times a week 50 miles north of london and in a typical covers party band and im so happy i brought the tc set up after having the mark bass rig which doesant come near the sound of the tc rig,but its true that every room you need to dial in the Eq to find the required sound. Some pubs or smaller clubs i just took one cab, still plenty of vollume i must add but 90% of the gigs i took both because when you sit the cabs upright with one on top of the other its much much better to the ear.
So on conclusion im very happy with my new rig becasuse i can get the the right sound ive been after for many years so top marks tc electronics for making me a very happy player.

Re: TC RH450

question, how do i get photos on here ?
