Expression Pedal

I recently bought a Line 6 EX1 expression pedal to use with my nova system.  When I use the Whammy effect and rock the pedal back and forth I can see that the effect varies from 0% to 100%, as it should.

Occasionally however, on returning to the 'heel back' poistion the display will read 3% or 4% or whatever (not 0%).  This is a relatively small difference and not noticable when I use the pedal for volume but for whammy, it's noticably out of tune.

The pedal has been calibrated. I've even tried calibrating it with a buffer zone at each end the pedal's travel but the problem still persists.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with the pedal or the NS and would be interested to know if anyone else has had the same problem...
