Flashback chorus sounds?

Hello!    I just purchased this pedal because of all the great reviews.  I am getting rid of a Boomerang E-155 Chorus/Delay Pedal.   With that I am losing a crappy Chorus, and an OK delay.   I feel this pedal just sucked the tone out of everything... although the 11 presets were handy.   With my set up it delivered a lack of tone which I blamed on this pedal. 

Anyways.  I realize now I am going to have an excellent Delay pedal...  I heard some of the sounds in the online demo that made it sounds like Chorus..  Vibrato.. etc...  is this true.  I am in a 4 piece heavier jam band, and I'm looking for something that kind of sits in the mix like a keyboard synth..  tho it doesn't have to be exactly chorus sounds or whatever..  I just need that atmosphere.  I'd like very much to just get rid of the Boomerang but only if you think for the time being it could do something like this.   Some of the tone prints seem to have chorus/flange etc in them as well.  Would that basically be my chorus setting.. the tone print.  I could settle just having 1..   let me know what you think!   Also where is it good to put in the line of pedals!??
