Topic: New owner and very pleased

I've had my eye on a Nova System for quite some time and have recently seen some amazing deals out there (maybe something new is coming out). For the price of two decent boutique pedals I was able to get the NS.

I play in a number of situations but most of my time is taken up in a rock band. I do about 80 percent keyboards and 20 percent guitar. About 6 gigs a month in medium size clubs. I move a lot of equipment (two keyboards, keyboard stand, two guitars, two stage monitors, small mixer, cables, etc...). I have tried a few things to keep my guitar rig down in size. I have a POD HD500 that I was plugging into my stage monitors and then giving the house a direct signal. It was okay until one day I decided to lug my Blackstar Club 40 to the gig just for something different. I forgot how much fun a real tube amp was fully cranked. It was also very simple; guitar in amp and a pedal to switch between clean and dirty.

Although I tried the HD500 in a 4CM with the Blackstar and it sounded great, again I was bringing too much equipment. I bought the NS thinking I would front the HT50 with it or use it without drive though the effects loop. Well when I got home with my NS, my HT40 was not available  (it was in the garage and I was too lazy to bring it down into the studio). I first tried the NS through my Roland Cube 80X. The NS effects sounded great, the OD and Distortion not as much. I have a Tech 21 Power Engine and SansAmp Gt2 that I have not used in years. I pulled those out, set the SansAmp to fender clean, off-axis mic, with gain turned up but not enough to distort. I put the NS in front of it and was blown away. I've never had an effect unit that is so musical. Cannot wait to try it live.

Enjoy.. I've had mine coming 2 years and still enjoying it.  It's a real steal for the price that they're going for.

They are a steal now, I am guessing something new is around the corner.

Nah highly doubt so.. It's been a steal even when I bought mine. Got it around $320 new?

Congrats. I have a similar situation where I play mostly keys and some rhythm guitar in my band. I plug the Nova system directly into my Roland KC-500 on its own channel and my keyboards into the other channels. I am able to control my mix from here perfectly and with a little tweaking was able to get some decent crunch sounds from the NS.

Found an Yamaha FC1 pedal that I had never really used. It worked perfectly either as a volume pedal or expression pedal. No issues, nice that the NS has allowed me to leverage my existing equipment (Tech 21 Power Engine, SansAmp, FC1).
