Topic: How do you find the Wah vs Crybaby, etc.

The subject is a good summary of the question.

So, do you still use your Crybaby, Morley, Vox, etc. or you prefer the wah in G-System. I need to buy an expression pedal to test it.

I really like the Crybaby wah, is the G-System wah close to it?

Thanks!

Re: How do you find the Wah vs Crybaby, etc.

Many people here are happy with the gsys Wah, including me.
A search will turn up that this questions has been asked many times! smile

Yeah, but I want a recent thought on this, because sometime people change their mind.

Which expression pedal are you guys using?

Re: How do you find the Wah vs Crybaby, etc.

I actually prefer the G wah to the Cry Baby. Just imagine how much cooler the Cry Baby would be with adjustable sweep parameters, then remove the cheap potentiometer that gets scratchy after the first year of use and then give the option for many different sounding wahs/expression controlled effects for no added cost or pedal space and there is my reasoning:)

not to mention A LOT LESS NOISE in the signal path!

Re: How do you find the Wah vs Crybaby, etc.

I'm very happy with it. Anyone want a Crybaby or 535Q?

I love my crybaby and I've found this tip if you want to keep the feeling of a crybaby with an expression pedal (for use with whammy/wah especially).

this tip let you recycle an old crybaby pedal into a expression pedal and it works very very well.
So now I use my Ernie ball 6166 so as to control the volume and my crybaby modified to control the wah/whammy/etc...
