Topic: GSYSTEM & JMP-1 HIZZ/NOISE TRS-TRS Cable Solution!
Hi all! I finally managed to solve this issue. I had a lot of hizz with my GSYSTEM and JMP-1.
I have everything racked, so I didn´t thought a small cable could make any difference...
I had a lot of noise with the G and my JMP-1 wired like this:
Guitar (TS Cable) > MXR CAE Boost/Buffer input
MXR Output (TS Cable) > GSYSTEM (rear) instrument input
GSYSTEM Send (TS) > JMP-1 Input
JMP-1 output (TS) > GSYSTEM Return
Some months ago, I bought a HE-2 Hum Eliminator which didn´t solved the noise issue (because I used TS cables in that time...). Today I wired it again, but I used a TRS - TRS cable, that improved a lot my sound!
It´s amazing how a single cable could help eliminate noise. This is my actual wiring:
Guitar (TS Cable) > MXR CAE Boost/Buffer input
MXR Output (TS Cable) > GSYSTEM (rear) instrument input
GSYSTEM Send (TS) > JMP-1 Input
JMP-1 output (TS) > HE-2 input
HE-2 Output (TRS) > GSYSTEM Return
I had good results too with a TRS cable from the GSYSTEM´s send, to the HE-2 (input #1), but I felt more gain the other way. (Can anyone explain me why this happens with a TRS cable?)
I only have 1 TRS cable right now, but I´m gonna try another one to wire the G´s send, to the HE-2.
I hope this helps anyone who has noise issues,
Rock on!
