Topic: Drop tune pedal

Anyone using the morpheus drop tune pedal  with the G? Is putting it in the loop or in front of the G better?

Thanks
Cristian

Re: Drop tune pedal

I have mine in the G's Loops now. Before, I used to place it after my guitar and before the G. But after updating it to the latest firmware, I don't know if it's just me but I noticed something different in the DropTune's tracking. I'm feeling the latency now and a little flange is present. The sustain is not that good anymore. It's like the sound is heavily gated. I decided to place it in the loops and oddly enough (and weird too), it sounded better. I'm still researching on what happened with my DropTune's update.

Re: Drop tune pedal

Thanks for the reply. I'm still debating getting it. I've seen plenty of videos and reviews that's say it's great but I want to make sure it will work with the G system.

Re: Drop tune pedal

I use mine in the loop of the G-System. Sounds great. I only use it for 1/2 or 1 step detuning.

Re: Drop tune pedal

I'm using a Behringer us600.  I only use it for tuning down a whole step on a couple of songs. I saw this youtube comparing it with a boss pedal and the morpheus and it seemed to do about as well as the drop tune.

I have found it to track well, but there is a little latency and a small amount of tone suck. I wouldn't want to play through it all the time, but for a couple of songs it has been satisfactory.

The nice thing about the Behringer is it 9v so you can power it with the G-system. And it is smaller so if space is limited that helps. It certainly isn't as well constructed as the drop tune.
