Topic: Question for TC...Nova or pedals?

Hi,

I have 3 TC pedals at the moment (Flashback, Dark matter and polytune) and looking to add more, however....I have to wonder if I am better going that way or just getting a Nova system.

Basically the cost of the Nova is similar to 3 or 4 pedals anyway (at least here in NZ!)..and it seems you get so much more in the Nova system...so my question has to be why would I carry on with separate pedals?

Is the overall quality of the individual effects better than those in the Nova? I have had multi-FX units in the past (mainly Line6) and they were definitely quantity over quality...hence why I have gone back to pedals, but am I missing something great in the Nova? ...or are separate pedals still going to give me a better end result (the old "do one thing and do it well" theory).

Please help me decide!  thanks

Re: Question for TC...Nova or pedals?

It really depends on what type of sounds you're after.. Before I had the Nova System I too had a pedalboard full off stompboxes and one day I did the math and decided to sell the whole lot and get a Nova System. This was a couple years back and I haven't been looking into buying stompboxes after that..

The NS provided me all the modulations/reverbs/delays that I'd ever need and they do it wonderfully. Heck, I don't even use a compressor and since it's alr on the board, it's a plus. The Drive is good but I had to throw on a different drive just to fulfill my drive needs.

But all in all, I'd say if you're the straight forward simple player not looking for sci-fi sounds you won't be disappointed.

Ps-I suggest to keep the Polytune and Dark Matter and work them with the NS
