Topic: G system hum/warping/static noise.

I have a mark V with the brains in the rack and its been great for a long time. All of the sudden there is a horrible loud noise with the relay cables when in conjunction with the g system. If I pull out the relay cables the hum leaves. Ive tried re installing the firmware, different cables, I dont know what else to do. I like the relay function because I can control everything. Eventually Ill get a mini amp gizmo and mark v cable but for now I need to fix this. Any ideas?

Check your relay settings to make sure nothing has inadvertently been changed?

still think to first try an ebtech hum eliminator between g-insert-send and amp in and g-out and amp return to break the ground loop (if there is one).

what cables do you use for switching?y-cable (trs  to two ts with common ground)?

Does the switching work OK with only the footswitch connected??

Yea perfect. I'm thinking of investing in an mini amp gizmo. I think also my patch cables ate creating a noise because when I turn off the overdrive in loop 1 some noise leaves

I would definitely go with the Mini Gizmo if you can wink
